What is the IACD?

The IACD was founded in the mid 1990s by the long-established casting directories Spotlight (UK), Showcast (AUS), and Breakdown Services (US).

In 2006, the IACD welcomed new partner e-Talenta, a casting service spanning mainland Europe.

It was formed in order to develop a legitimate global casting service.

IACD members share the following goals:

To uphold professional standards within the casting arena and share best practice
To promote the open exchange of ideas and casting information among talent directories
To invest in the development of new technology for the continual enhancement of the casting process
To give performing artists the best possible exposure to job opportunities and career development, locally and globally
To protect the interests of professionally trained/experienced performers
To promote equal casting opportunities for actors regardless of age, race and gender
To provide a global network for artists, agents and production professionals
